Park Lock:
A couple fotos of the new locking system, so I don't have to use chains anymore.
Another view: This will all be painted "Holiday Green" this summer. Here it is colored in a fashionable mixture of old blue paint, bare metal, rust, phosporic acid, welding slag, and just plain old dirt.
This design will accommodate a future modification which will allow inserting the locking pin from the bottom with a lever that will allow me to lock and unlock without climing the tower. I have also designed a remote azimuth drive control so I can bring the azimuth into alignment for locking. So far, this has withstood 70+mph wind gusts, with no signs of stress.
The END.
