TM 733 E: Modifiche
Ciao a tutti,
ho letto sulla rivista CQ Elettronica di agosto '94 pag. 61/63 una
interessante mmodifica per uso sperimentale di laboratorio, trattasi della
rimozione di R410 e R414 per rinconfigurare il TM 733 E Kenwood, da versione
italiana a quella belga.

Hello all you TM733E-Users,

here are the most interestings Mod's for TM 733-E....

After this modification yoy can:

- VHF-wide-band
- AM-RX on VHF
- 800/900 MHz-RX on UHF
- Crossband-Repeat
- Crossband-Repeater from remote
- remote the trx by an other trx with DTMF
- key-quitting while remoteing

Now we are comming to the Mod. My german trx had the range from 144-146 MHz
 and 430-440 MHz and no remote possible.

In the trx on the control-panel there are pads, in other scripts
 written as "B0 B1 B2 B3 RPT".

The following pads were in my TM 733-E:

B0 B1 B2 B3 RPT
 x     x  x

After removing from the B0 and B3 I had wide-band tx and rx on VHF and UHF
 but no cross-remote-function.

After first mod:

B0 B1 B2 B3 RPT
       x

Then came the 2nd mod. There you can take one of the removed resistors you
 must close "RPT":

B0 B1 B2 B3 RPT
       x     x <---

With this mod's my trx had the in the beginning written functions and what I
 had forgotten is the aktive 1750 Hz-Burst-Tone for european repeaters.

A discribtion of the possible funktions after done mods will follow in your
 bbs and was written from other om's in the last time, too.

This mod was written in english, because many om's from wished this in many
 mails I've read in the last months, so sorry to the german om's, but this
 information is written easy enough to translate it into german.
