Extended frequency range modification for the Kenwood TM-702E.

Remove top-cover, locate and cut the "famous" green wire (it is located at the backside of the front of the radio, on the left side).

When switching the radio back on, you should hear the word 
"congratulation" sent by CW trough the speaker.

After performing this modification, the radio should be able to receive and transmit (be careful!) at the following frequency ranges:

VHF: 136-174 MHz
UHF: 340-512 MHz
