How a clutch works on a GAS car or truck engine.
|What is this rock doing in my front yard? I didn't
have a clue at first but I later found out that it makes for a great back
drop for the truck.
This is the RC10GT with a 12 OS pull start. As you see, I start mine up by reaching inside of the truck from the top. Yea it makes for a bigger hole but hey it works man... Don't this pick look cool??
They probably make cheaper and faster engines but I know how well the OS makes theirs.
|Front shot of the RC10GT. Yea it looks just like all the rest on the net but hey. This is my first RC GAS truck. I use to race the RC12L car. Man talk about a sweet car, that thing was winning races right out of the box even with the 32 pitch gears.|
| As you can see, Every day is a great day to
race this truck living here in Sunny Puerto Rico. These pictures were taken
in Feb. of 1999. I usually run the truck down the road or hit one
of the local tracks. The beach also makes for another great place to run
the truck. Just watch out for the palm trees!!
A friend from work painted the body. It don't look bad especially with the yellow wheels that come with the kit.
Oh yea. Man can not live by stock alone.
Yes even I have a few hop ups
|I bought the DTXG1510 CZ-R Stage II Performance Head. It's bigger and black in color. You can go to duratrax web page and check out what they have.|
|This picture is of MIP's flywheel. Mine is the lighweight which is purple in color. It does make a difference! (update 4/25/99: Now since I have use the lightweight flywheel I have been thinking that maybe all that quick power just gets your slipper hot. On the street, the front wheel comes up nicely but on the sand, probably the heavy flywheel is what is needed.)|
|This is MIP's 4-n-1 clutch. It works great and makes
the truck run like a charm.
I never used the stock clutch but a friend of mine always had an idle problem with his.
|I got the DTXC2566 Steel Brake Adapter for my RC10GT. When I was at the local hobby shop, this was the first thing that the owner put down on the counter.|
|Ok. here are a few other things. From the scan you can
see how I used fuel tubing to extend the pull start. It's easier to grab
the cord when the body is on.
The next mod is really a requirement. As you can see from the scan. This is a spring that connects up from the carb servo to a hole that I drilled on the corner of the truck. Now if I loose my receiver or the radio. the throttle goes to idle and a touch of break is applied
Hey. thanks again for checking out the page. Here is my email
address. Please write. To all my friends that I use to race with, Eat
more dirt! To my friend Milton who was always fun to race, I think we can
rebuild her. Here's some more rubber bands dude...
