Standard GX5850T Ok, I have figured out the programming for the TX side, and it works quite well. But I'm having a problem getting the receive side working. I have a feeling that it has to do with the filters, but these don't use the TOKO filters that the kenwood and moto's use. So if anyone is even interested, I found the TOKO filters needed to put these things on the 33cm band. They are: TOKO #4DFA-915E-10=P --- the Standard HT's (HX585T and HX587T) are often discussed in a number of Yahoo groups. Many have made assorted attempts (including me) to edit Standard's channel table but I've not yet heard of anyone succeeding. The programming app has the channel table built in. You can view it upon request and find your 39Mhz pair along with the associated channel number. I've often thought the table could be edited which leaves the problem of TX on 927Mhz. I have yet to reach that project in my ever growing pile even though I am much more familiar now with hex editing than the last time I reviewed the Standard app. Unfortunately it will be some time before I try again so, if anyone else is up to the task then please keep the group informed of your progress. These are fine radios if we could just overcome the channel table, the VCO, and those crappy stock battery packs.
