We will discuss the direction of the club for the next year, and Greg Buchwald is tentatively planning to do a program on high efficiency spectrum use in the amateur bands. It will cover the experimental channel splitting system using TRBO between Schaumburg and Crystal Lake at UHF frequencies.

In addition, Ed has asked us to discuss the following, or at least begin discussion:

1.        Re-establish ARRL affiliation if it is not currently in line

2.       Complete a PM check on the HF antennas…it has been many years since we gave them any love

3.       Finish the repeater move project.

He also has suggested that we discuss the following:

4.        Field day 2012

5.        Support for newly licensed hams out of Bill Thompson’s tech classes (elmering to get them on the air)

6.       Permanent amplifier for the shack / installation of the Dentron 160 – 10M 1kW amplifier that was given to the club and/or procurement of a replacement transformer for the club 30L1.

I look forward to seeing you on the 17th.

Steve Gilbert
