trova finalmente spazio , propagandosi. | Here is another "zipped" antenna. The extreme (once
again ) " coupler " concept . Dimensions ranging around
1/100th of wavelenght or less . It is so small , but... it works! .. This is an extreme frontier in the antenna world. In fact this aerial is a pure transducer, critical and "magic" element ,the essence of the antenna concept : the border - line between two "worlds" the "inner one" where ac current and voltage develop and the" outer one" where radiation takes place. This is a pure preview and antenna tests are going on to semplify, increase and optimize this novel antenna device. I think Torus-antenna must be investigated more extensively to fully understand its limits and its natural use, giving priority to it,so final adjustments as well as good mechanical solutions will be searched later. |

| But what you can do by Torus antenna? e.g. Torus built for 21 MHz , dimensions similar to your hand : swr good on entire band cw + phone. BORNEO island was contacted ( other european stations were calling too) using 50w Other Qso are simple even using less power. Comparing Torus to a dipole in presence of artificial (man-made ) or natural QRN, it is often possible to copy buried signals when they seem lost onto dipole (e.g. due to proximity of high voltage electric lines in moisture environment. In the worst cases the signal to noise ratio is always favourable to the Torus antenna. |
