ETHERNET LAN:
HOW CONNECT TWO PC
- HARDWARE -
This is an easy step:
open the case of your PC and find a free PCI Slot (if you have an ISA card of course find a free ISA Slot);
PCI SLOT (right) and ISA SLOT (sinistra)
Insert the card and fix it;
Close the case;
Switch on your PC;
if
you've used a Plug and Play card it will be recognize automatically by
the OS that wil ask you the drivers, otherwise you need to install the card
manually
(My Computer > Control Panel > New Hardware > Manual Choice >
network Card);
Probably you will need to insert the nstallation CD-room for the OS.
After that go under My Computer > Control Panel > System > Hardware and be sure that the card is correctly installed (no yellow "!").
make the same for the other PC
Connect the PCs with the crossed cable.
