FLEXNET +
TSTHOST
x PACKET 1200 (under DOS) with
AUDIO CARD
The use of TSTHOST with a simple
Audio Card is really a great thing!
If previous tests were successful you can go on:
Software needed:
FLEXNET (PCF.LZH)(DOWNLOAD
PAGE OF FLEXNET);
SM AUDIO DRIVER by Thomas Sailer, HB9JNX (SM.LZH o PSADRVR.LZH);
HOSTMODE EMULATOR (TFEMU.LZH);
TSTHOST VER. 1.43C (TSTH143C.ZIP);
Software to extract compressed files (LHA.EXE);
I suppose you already know TSTHOST or, at least, you know how to make a directory and install it (if possible, in C:\TSTHOST);
Install FLEXNET as explaned in "HOW TO INSTALL FLEXNET UNDER DOS" page;
add the following lines to
FLEX95.BAT
lh tfemu -i:0xfd /dm
c:\tsthost\tsthost /t /i253 /k2
(be sure the path of tsthost is right)
or download the file FLEXTST.BAT, wich is similar to FLEX95.BAT with the 2
last lines added.
(I used /K2 just because on my PC there wasn't enough memory and TSTHOST didn't start, so
I used only 2 channels);
Reset your PC; at the DOS prompt
call the file FLEXTST and make sure there are not error messages;
Now enjoy receiving packet
signales (and also transmitting); if you can not see any traffic, try with the command
"AX MONITOR IUSC" in tsthost.
