I was born in 1964 and my job is an Avionic Engineer. My work includes avionics equipment engineering and testing for communication and navigation system in the aeronautical technologies.
My hobbies are hi-fi vacuum tube amplifier engineering, antique
radio restoring and antenna experiments. In my ham activity I prefer the HF Dx
on 40, 80 and 160 meters. As soon as it is possible I will start experiments on
137 KHz, possibly in the next winter of 2002/2003.
My favourite sports are any free flight activities but especially hang-gliding and para-gliding. I have been doing this since 1988.
Also I am a volunteer helper for humanitarian missions in Africa, Congo Ex Zaire and Central Africa Republic. I am a founder member of the Jacques Ngakoutou,
( http://digilander.iol.it/iz1cqd ) a young humanitarian association working to help the third world. Every year I travel to Africa as voluntary and I may be active on HF as TL8CG.
Since year 2000 I also cooperate as logistician in several missions with the international NGO Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders).
I believe in the radio-amateurs ethics including the courtesy, respect and friendship. Hence I also believe in human solidarity.
