NOR2AMS  GUI  v.0.2  is  a  tool  to convert keplerian data from NORAD
(2line) to AMSAT format and viceversa.

It makes the same  conversion of the DOS  16-bit & WIN 32-bit  version
but has a user-friendly Graphical Interface (GUI).

I've tried to find a similar utility on Packet and Internet, but since
today I've not found anything... so I decided to make it by myself.

The utility doesn't make anything of incredible, but I think it  makes
a good work...  :-))

Many hours was spent to check the output files which are generated  by
the program and I think (and hope) there're no problems with them.

The two files generated (2LINE.KEP and AMSAT.KEP) are correctly loaded
by INSTANTTRACK 1.0b, FODTRACK 1.5 and FOOTPRINT 1.21.

Note that the program DOES NOT MAKE any type of year 2K conversion, so
if you want to use  the generated keplerian data with  Instanttrack on
2K years  you MUST  convert them  with 2L2ITKE  (autor F6HCC)  or with
AMSAT2K (autor IW4DJV... me).

Others two tracking programs works correctly with 2K years...

- THE ORIGINAL  FILES MUST  CONTAIN ONLY  KEPLERIAN DATA.

- ANY OTHER LINE MUST BE DELETED!

- KEPLERIAN DATA CONSIST OF SATELLITE NAME LINE TOO...

- REMEMBER THAT THE PROGRAM DON'T CHECK  IF THE INPUT FILE IS "IN  THE
  CORRECT"  AND  "HAS  THE  CORRECT"  FORMAT,  SO BE CAREFUL...  IF IT
  OCCURES A WRONG FILE WILL BE GENERATED.

A little explain concerning the conversion:
===========================================

In NORAD (2line) format there're 3 fields:

- International Designator (from position 10 to 17 - line 2)
- First Time Derivative of the Mean  Motion (from position 34 to 43  -
  line 2)
- BSTAR  GP4  general   perturbation  theory  or   radiation  pressure
  coefficient (from position 54 to 61 - line 2)

These  fields  are  not  used  in  AMSAT  format  so  when you convert
keplerian data from AMSAT to 2LINE  these 3 fields are filled by  zero
(0).

All others fields are converted correctly from one format to other and
the checksum is calculated each time in realtime....
