At this time, SB 1714 is before the California State Senate. This bill would put Calif. Government Code in agreement with FCC Part 97.15e which says the local and state zoning ordinance enacted by the legislative body of any city or county regulating the placement, screening, or height of antennas shall reasonably accommodate amateur radio antennas and permit radio antenna height to less than 200 feet or 75 feet, depending on the population density of the city or county. IVAARC encourages every amateur radio operator to write their California State Senator to show support for this bill.
