Hello everyone !

My name is Mirco, I live in Berlin the capital of Germany. I’m 23 years old and since january 1999 I am a licenced SWL. My SWL-Call is DE7BME. A qsl card is shown above. In september 1999 I made my class 3 licence. Now I can transmit on 2mtr and 70cm. Maybe some time I will make the HF licence, but now I don’t have enough time and money :-(

I realized amateur radio when I watched a picture of someones shack. This picture you can see below. I was absolutly fascinated by that and so I decided to become a radio amateur and to get a shack like that.

Now I am an owner of an ICOM IC-706MK2G that I use for HF-SWL and transmit on VHF/UHF. Beside that I have an ICOM IC-T7H which is a small duoband handy. More is still to come.... :-)

I am very active as an SWL and last year (1999) I worked in the IOTA contest and the WWDX SSB contest. This year I will work in the same contests but now I plan this since months...

I have made a first place in a regional contest as DO7JME. But maybe that was because no one else transfered his log to the manager.. :-) and so I was the only ham in my contest class.

So now you can imagine that my favourites in ham radio are working in contests and making points for diplomas. And of course the channel 90 in the world wide convers. I have read something about I.N.Y.A. in a ham magazine and I tried this and now I am a big fan of I.N.Y.A.
