Open Beta Versions
Version 1.55 Open Beta
Version 1.55 of InstantTrack,
released May 12, 2002, adds a couple of
minor features and corrects a couple of
minor bugs:
- Feature: there's now a third way to
have the Cylindrical (rectangular) map
centered on your screen. Before you
could have it fixed on Greenwich, or
roughly centered on the satellite. Now
you can choose to have it centered on
your observer's location. As before,
type 'S' to switch modes. This feature
is mainly useful if you live near the
edge of the default map.
- Feature: when you enter attitude
information, InstantTrack will
now accept Bahn longitude values bigger
than 360 degrees. This is to allow for
attitudes like "362/5" the AO-40 command
team has been publishing lately. The
values will be displayed in the normal
range, so if you enter "362/5"
InstantTrack will display "2/5".
- Bug: corrected a recent error that
made it impossible to enter "N" for
"None" or "L" for "Local Vertical" for
the satellite's attitude.
- Bug: in the Derived Values part of
the Manual Edit Satellite Elements
screen, the Epoch age would be shown as
"days ago.o." if you had previously
visited an empty satellite position. Now
the empty satellite position shows "Epoch
not set." and the extra characters are
blanked out.

- If you have customized the
IT.INI configuration file, save a
backup copy of it for reference.
- Download the
InstantTrack

- Run
IT155UP.EXE you
just downloaded, and allow it to

where you installed InstantTrack 1.50.
- If necessary, edit your
IT.INI
file and restore any customizations you
need (refer to the copy you saved above).
- That's it!
