IK1HGE at work

Yes folks, you got it: I work. I have to!

IK1HGE celebrating the success of a project (funny guy, huh?)

At the moment, I'm working for the italian national metrology institute INRiM (Istituto Nazionale di Ricerca Metrologica) in Turin, Italy, as metrologist and measurement instruments designer. In particular, I'm designing innovative in-situ (it means "placed somewhere on the earth surface") instruments for research in the field of remote sensing (the discipline of making measurements from distance, e.g. with instruments on board of satellites).
More in general, I'm a semiconductor specialist, an electronic designer, and a design and program manager. Until few years ago, I used to manage a team for the development of silicon integrated circuits, mainly for automotive applications, in a very large german multinational company.
In the past, I worked as IC Designer, Product Engineer, Engineering Manager, Application Engineer and Technical Marketing Manager. I don't want to bore you by explaining exactly what I do. Instead, if you really like boring things, you can read one of the articles that I wrote (I can be serious, sometimes, now I know that I can!) Before you go, just let me wish you good luck, hope you wake up and come back to visit my site, one day...

Now, if you feel really sure, just click one of the following links:

AC TIG Welding: Output Inverter Design Basics
LEDs: Sources and Intrinsically Bandwidth-Limited Detectors
LED-based field radiometer for sensor web in-situ measurements

Instead, as you see here below,I have something better to do...

.

Is BBQ my second job?

Probably yes, but...

...how is I still have the same SERIUOS colleagues?
