Welcome to HS0ZED. I'm the ugly one, the pretty one is Neena, our daughter. My xyl, Anong, took the photograph in Feb 2003 when Neena was 18 months old. She understands Thai and English and speaks fluent Gobbledegook. Her favourite pastime is pressing buttons!

My callsign was finally issued in December 2002 after waiting almost five years for the reciprocal agreement between Thailand and the UK to be agreed. Some of my friends had been waiting much longer! Import licenses were obtained and equipment imported during December 2002. Equipment inspection was done during January 2003 and the station license was issued at the beginning of February 2003. Operation is on the only 4 generally available HF bands currently permitted in Thailand, 40, 20, 15,10.

I'm not currently very active, work takes up most of the time whilst both Neena and her recently arrived younger brother Matthew take up much of the rest. My HF antenna is only a Cushcraft R7 in the back yard but this will soon be replaced with a Cushcraft X9 at about 21 metres. That should help to make my few precious hours of radio fun a little more productive.
