The AKD 4001 is a low cost
rig specifically designed for use on 4m. In the past 4m operation was obtained
by either modifying ex AM PMR equipment or buying expensive transverters - some
of which are no longer available. The rig comes with a useful 25W, 20 channels
and 12.5kHz channel spacing. Powered from an external 13.8V DC supply, it can
either be used as a mobile or base station rig. Supplied as standard with a fist
type microphone with 4- pin mic. connector and DC power
lead.

TM-D700A Kenwood
Dual Band with Built-in TNC
|

|
The TM-D700E is a 50/35W 2m/70cm dual
band transceiver that features a built-in TNC and a 9-pin data port ready for
connection to your PC or laptop. The front panel is a separate unit that connect
back to the main body via the supplied cable. It also features ARPS for
displaying position information of other users and if you connect the NMEA data
output from a GPS receiver, your position information will also be transmitted.
For the modern band plan, you also get switched deviation for 12.5kHz and 25kHz
channel spacings. DX enthusiasts will love the DX cluster direct readout - no
need for PC connection! And if you get bored with the ham bands, the receiver
goes right up to 1300MHz (at least the USA version does, so we are checking this
out with Kenwood UK). You also get a bandscope and 200 memories with 8-digit
alphanumeric tags.
