Welcome to the Harris/Intersil Amateur Radio Club (HIARC)
information center on the Web!
HIARC
is currently planning for ARRL
Field Day
for 2012 on the grounds of the Grant
Community Center, where the famous Grant Seafood Festival is
held.
We hope you enjoyed HIARC Field Day 2011. We had lots
of visitors, and great food, and an awesome presentation by our special
guest visitor. Photos have been published on the FieldDay2011
Web Site. We invite you to visit the HIARC Field
Day 2012 Web Site for almost up-to-date information about the 2012
event.
Hurricane/Emergency
Preparedness
One of the more important missions of radio amateurs is to provide
communications during natural disasters and other emergencies.
HIARC participates in Brevard County emergency preparedness, and
provides operators to man shelters, hospitals, and shadow public
service officers when needed. These roles and responsibilities
are outlined in the county's communication plans. Please check
out the following documents to ensure you
will be ready to serve when the time comes! Emergency Communications in Brevard County
