Greetings QSL.NET users, It has been a while since I contacted all of you direct but I needed to share a few things with all of you. SPAM & VIRUSES We are deluged with both as you are certainly aware. Please be really careful opening attachments, unless you are ABSOLUTELY sure you know the sending party and even then a virus checker is a must. Updating virus checkers daily is not a bad idea these days. Remember QSL.NET does not originate any mail. No matter what the e-mail address says the only person who sends mail from a server at QSL.NET is me. I only send from the address [email protected]. Any virus or spam from any QSL.NET address is fake and is NOT coming from a server here. Many users use the @qsl.net address as their return address, that is certainly OK but any mail they originate again DOES NOT come from QSL.NET servers. I still have a very aggressive spam killing program, and the amounts of spam and viruses we block would make the system useless if it was allowed through. If you cannot have or do not wish this filtering on your e-mail then please use you real address rather than the QSL.NET alias. This is a hobby site, we are not an ISP, and therefore we make no guarantees for the use of this system. QSL.NET/QTH.NET RADIO GIVEAWAY We are pleased to announce that due to the generosity of member we will be having another ham radio give away. Here is your chance to help the system and get a great radio for your efforts.Good Luck to all, and as always my sincere thanks to all our past and future supporters. REMEMBER.... Of all the major ham radio sites on the Internet QSL/QTH is the only one that is not a business. Everything here is done with volunteers and is funded by user donations. Donations are the only way we survive. CONTACTING QSL.NET I currently receive about 300-500 e-mails every day. At this moment I have over 1100 to be read and answered. It is not possible to give instant replies to your mail unless it is something I can forward to a "robot" to answer. The very best way to get a problem resolved is to call me on the phone if it must be done immediately. QSL.NET has it's own dedicated line at 302-875-1358. I am usually here from 8am to 11pm Eastern time. If I am not here please leave a voice message and I will reply as soon as I am able. If you send me a question or report a problem via e-mail do not expect any response for several weeks. I also will not respond at all if it is something that will be obvious to you that I read your mail. DAYTON I will be at Dayton this year and I am looking forward to see a lot of you again. Please look for me and say hello. I will be at the KMAAntennas display in the flea market. 73, Al K3TKJ |
