NEAR Fest XII - Fall 2012

New England Amateur Radio Festival
Deerfield Fairgrounds, NH



This first order of business is to park the HAMCOW and
telescope the tower with the Comet GP-9 vertical to put
the UHF repeater on-air.



Next we set up BCRA club tent, also known as "The HAMCOW Gift Shop", with all of the flea
market goods to sell.  This year W2DAN, N1PMB, N1VDK, and N1JOY set up under the
tent to trade our goodies for a few shekels.


Inside the tent we deployed plenty of lighting, and
2 heaters which made our location quite popular
when the temps started to drop.

Early morning and our neighbors aren't quite awake yet.



W2DAN loading up the big coffee pot to help wake to gang up.  A tasty
breakfast followed.



One of the highlights of the weekend is the musician jam session in the entertainment
building.  Local Hams get together, some are really good, some might be seen in
a local karaoke bar.  All in all, it's a fun time and a nice break from a long
day of flea marketing.
