May Business Meeting

Friday, May 1, 2009.

We welcomed new member John Henrich to the club. John has no call yet, but is getting ready to take the test.

Our part in the BARC Hamfest went well. Our treasury has been pleasantly replenished.

Field Day plans are starting to firm up. Expect an operation much like we have used in the recent past. Look for the appointment of a Field Day Chairman and confirmation of the carnival grounds availability very soon. The June Club Meeting will be devoted to Field Day. Sort of an Operator's Briefing.

The recently planned Club Picnic had to be postponed since the carnival grounds were not available. The picnic will be combined with Field Day this year. Even if you have no interest in Field Day, stop by for the picnic.

Our test of a new meeting date went well this month. But for the next several months that date has serious conflicts with major holidays. Therefore, all meetings will revert to the old date - the second Thursday of the month.

Bingo is the last week in July. Yes, we need help!
