We are pleased to welcome our newest member. Keon Hayes, KE3HAY, from Reisterstown.
We reviewed the results of Bingo. It was a hard week but the Fire Company was pleased with our work.
Our Mini Tail Gate Fest was a complete disaster by any standard. Except that we made a profit.
The Crop Walk is October 21, 2007. The date was previously incorrectly reported on this web site. So if you had already marked your calendar you will need to do it again, or show up on the wrong day. If you have not marked your calendar, this is the correct date.
The next business meeting will be in November. This will also be the time for nominations for officers for 2008. December will be a "no-business" meeting. Elections will be at the January Meeting. This is also our annual dinner party meeting. So we will have to stop the festivities long enough to have an election. No other business is planned. While you are marking your calendar, you better put this date on it. We always have a good time at this affair.
There was a proposal that our club sponsor the 2008 "eyeball" meeting of the 3905 Century Club Net. This group runs a series of nets to assist anyone to get their Worked All States award. They also sponsor a number of awards themselves. Their membership is dispersed throughout the United States. But they must hold a least one meeting every year - if for no other reason than to elect officers. Like our January meeting. Mostly it is a two day social gathering.
Our club has no connection with this group. Most of the work will be done by our members that are active with the 3905 Century Club Net. The responsibilities of our club would be mostly ceremonial. These gatherings are a lot of fun and highly recommended. We agreed to act as sponsor for this event. Note that this is not a done deal. The 3905 Century Club Net will decide where to hold their "Eyeball" from all of the proposals they receive. They may or may not choose this proposal. The date will probably be early August, 2008.
