April 2007 Club Meeting

Thursday.   April 12,   2007.

We had a light turn out.   But we had a good time anyway.

The talk for this evening was about the way that normal feedline loss and SWR conspire to produce awful losses in the feedline.   Charlie,   W3CQB,   used a series of examples to illustrate the problem.   This completely avoided some really scary math that is used to do the same thing.   The math was easily handled by computer programs and that left us to just understand what was happening.   Several of the examples addressed how to fix an otherwise bad situation.   After the presentation,   we continued to talk about antennas in general - until the cookies ran out.
