Hanover Area Hamming Association Hanover, Pennsylvania
February 2007 Meeting
Thursday. February 8, 2007.
Geeesch, it was cold!
This was our first club meeting under the new schedule. Business meetings are held in the odd numbered months and the even number months are devoted entirely to some program pertaining to ham radio. All went well and the idea was well received. Andy certainly set the standard bar high for these meetings.
In just a couple of weeks we will see the end of code tests for all amateur licenses. Also, present Technician Class will have privileges in the HF spectrum. "All you wanted to know about HF - but were afraid to ask" was designed to introduce the seasoned VHF operator to HF operations.
Andy, AF3I, put together a comprehensive set of PowerPoint slides to guide us through the subject. To this he added numerous personal experiences which made the evening more interesting.
After Andy's presentation, we talked for a while, ate all of the chocolate chip cookies and finally worked up enough nerve to go back out in the cold night.
