We had a good turn out and one guest. Hello to Melissa, WH6CE, from Manchester. She just moved into the area and is eager to get her station back on the air.
The main item of business tonight was the nominations of Officers for 2007. Here are the results:
President: open
Vice President: open
Treasurer: Joe, N3MKE
Secretary: Joe, KB3MQK
Member At Large: Mike, N3KTX
There were no nominations for President or Vice President. Folks, this is a most serious situation for the club. Please give it your serious consideration before the next meeting. Nominations for these offices will be accepted at the December Meeting. Elections will also be held at the December Meeting.
The other important piece of business was the January, IT'S A PARTY meeting. The group chose Bill Bateman's in Hanover again.
N3KZS Repeater update. The 222 MHz repeater is down. The 440 MHz repeater is normal. The 146 MHz repeater is undergoing major overhaul of the "Main Site", ... ughhh "North Transmit Site", ughhh all that stuff down at Ralph's place. When it is complete Ralph has offered us the two-dollar tour after one of our meetings. That will be a very interesting evening. Otherwise it is working very well. IRLP is available. The repeater in Ocean City, MD is working. Link is by an internet connection and it is sometimes unreliable at the Ocean City end.
After dispensing with the business, we munched on a great selection of cookies and talked about ham radio - including battle stories from the recent VHF and Sweepstakes contests.
