What Happened
at the July Meeting

Thursday.   Jul. 13,   2006.

The report on Field Day took up most of the evening.   We had a small attendance and not much business to attend to.   So we spent and undue amount of time on our most recent club activity.   Overall,   it went very well.   We had a few technical problems that should be fixed before next year.   The two main were RF noise from the generators and realization that antennas at 35 feet are really low antennas at the bottom of the sunspot cycle.   The 80 meter balloon vertical worked very well.   We made more contacts on 80 meters than any other band.   40 meters was second and 20 meters was third.   We made a few contacts on 15 meters and none on 10 meters.  Everybody had a good time.

Bingo is the next event on our calendar.   The Fire Company takes care of the set up and tear down.   We just need to show up with some manpower.   Al,   KB3ETX and Charlie,   W3CQB will meet Sunday and set up the temporary antennas for the wireless microphones and generally see that everything is ready to go.

Another agent has been selected and the club's insurance has been renewed.
