It was a cold, dark, rainy night. But we had a decent turn-out anyway. We had two new members present. Welcome to Andy, AF3I, and Joe, KB3MQK. Joe passed the Technician test just a month ago. Say "Hi" to Andy and Joe when you hear them on the repeater.
Ron, WAØOJS, is re-writing the code for the steering program for the repeater system. You may hear all sorts of tones, bells, growls and grunts as the courtesy tone depending upon what part he is testing. Otherwise the entire repeater system is working fine.
Mike, N3KTX, reported that the Mini Tail Gate Fest went very well. Income was down about $10 from last year. We will take that. Everybody had a good time and nobody was overworked. Except Mike, of course. Thanks Mike. For more information see the Mini Fest page. The date for the next Mini Tail Gate Fest is August 20, 2006. The Fire Company has marked it on their calendar. Mark your calendar now.
Charlie, W3CQB, reported on our contributation to F.A.R.fest. Our part of the hamfest was the indoor vendors. It was three long days but in the end all of the vendors left happy. So we must have done a good job. HAHA's good work did not go un-noticed by the Foundation.
Charlie also reported that the club web site is again up to date. You are looking at it.
Joe, N3MKE, Went through the plans for the CROP walk this coming Sunday. Details are on the CROP walk page.
Enough business for one night. We talked Ham Radio for a while and then them meeting broke up.
