Crop Walk

The local Council of Churches runs a "10K Walk" to fund their projects. They have asked our help by providing the communications. This chiefly consists of providing them with the location of the first and last "walker." Occasionally, there may be some traffic from the rest stations to the Crop Walk committee.

We missed having our regular committee chairman in control this year. Joe, N3MKE, is recovering from surgery and just could not make it. So we just copied what he had done in years past. And it worked very well. Andy, AF3I, Randy, KG3N, and Al, W3TRW, covered the route with mobiles. Charlie, W3CQB, stayed at South Western High School as net control and contact with the Crop Walk Committee. We used the N3KZS repeater. We can again confirm that it has excellent HT coverage of Hanover.
