The Baltimore Amateur Radio Club (BARC) main source of income is the Greater Baltimore Hamboree And Computerfest. This hamfest is also the host to the ARRL Maryland State Convention. It is a BIG event, covering two full days and filling the Maryland State Fairgrounds. Even a club the size of BARC cannot muster the manpower to run this hamfest. So they contract out part of the work. This is where we come in. We run one of the gates for them.
This year is a little different than previous years. BARC is cutting costs in an effort to improve their unspectacular profit from last year. Our job is simply to keep two people in the windows selling tickets. BARC will handle all other functions. This is a lot less work than before. We will be paid correspondingly less. It is still a nice addition to the club treasury. And it is still 40 man-hours of work. We need your help!

Hopefully, we will have the passes and parking permits to distribute at our March meeting. BARC may not have them ready that early. If not, enter the Timonium Road gate and tell them you are with the Hanover Area Hamming Association and working at the Park and Ride gate. They will have means to confirm this and issue you a pass and parking permit. The best place to park is right at the Park and Ride gate.
