Endre Sántha is a founding member of Mako Radio Club. He started with the hobby in 1945 when he first built an SWL rig. He learned more about ham radio in the very first course in town in 1959 and he passed the license exam soon after. He received the ha8cn call sign in 1962. Ever since he is very active especially in HF CW.

Home made equipments -- December 1970.

Home made equipments -- 1975.
Until 1980 he used only home brew equipment but then he switched to commercial rigs.

Home made equipments -- 1975.
Since the beginning of the 1980s he is active in the FM segment of the 144 MHz and 432 MHz bands.

Rigs in April 1983.

May 1985.
When I asked about his favorite bands, he mentioned 21 MHz and 28 MHz on the first place but he likes all other HF bands except perhaps 7 MHz. Since he never managed to learn languages, he is active in CW only -- and in SSB on Hungarian chat frequencies and the 3.5 MHz band.

Rigs -- September 1992.
The walls of his shack are covered with numerous diplomas and ham awards. His favorites among them are the DXCC and the 1987 Golden Jubilee DXCC.
