Hi, my name is Gyorgy Kovacs (Gyuri,Guy).

I'm 36 years old,being licensed as a radio amateur in Hungary.

     First encountered with radio-technic in 1977 at the clubstation of

HA9KOK in Miskolc when a friend of mine suggested to see interesting

technical jobs they were doing there.Next day we set up our one-diode

receiver at the schoolyard and that worked.

     After a couple of years of brewing circuits,and making practise on

"fox hunting" got involved into the real 'on air' communication,

first on cw.Since then being fascinated by getting in touch with

far stations by wireless radio.Passed the highest degree of ham license

then and I got my first own callsign in 1983,at the age of 16.

At my student time in high school and college I worked with borrowed

radios and temporary antennas.Been a pretty long time till I could have

afforded to set up my own equipment.

     Now I'm married have a son (10) and a daughter (8).

The qth is in the suburbs of Budapest,about 18 km's NE to the inner city.

    The mailing addresse is ok on the QRZ.COM, qsl's are accepted also

via the bureau.
