Solomon Islands Ham Radio Stamps
During World Communications Year (WCY) 1983, I was involved in
the production of two Solomon Island Ham Radio stamps and First Day Covers:

The 18c stamp depicting Amateur Radio that was part of a
four stamp set and FDC for WCY was also used on a limited edition FDC
commemorating the founding of Solomon Islands Radio Society. |

A special FDC using the 45c Shuttle Columbia stamp and
commemorating the first ham radio operation from the space shuttle. |
In 1996, the centennial year of radio
communications, Solomon Islands issued a set of four stamps commemorating
Marconi's achievements. This FDC is sought after by radio enthusiasts world
