Isle of Man Amateur Radio Society (GT3FLH)

GT3FLH and GD3FLH are the Club Call signs for the Isle of Man Amateur Radio Society.

The Isle of Man Amateur Radio Society is a small and humble little club situated on one of the most beautiful spots on the planet, we might not have the weather that some countries have, but this little Island of ours is regarded and one of the most picturesque in the British Isles.

The Isle of Man itself is world famous not only because of its financial status in the world, with some of the largest Banking and Offshore Trust companies having their head-offices located on this little rock of our, but also down to the many motor sports events that we host, such as the 'Isle of Man Tourist Trophy, better known as just the 'TT', The Manx Grand Prix, and also the Southern 100 Road Races, along with many other event.

The Island itself is very un-touched, with loads of open countryside for walking that hosts lots of superb locations for anyone with a camera or just looking to relax in the peacefulness of it all, we have forests and plantations that have great walks through them, and if you are feeling a bit more energetic there is a small rock in the middle of the Island called Snaefell, which rises to 2032 ft high (Great for IOTA), and for those that think that this would be way too vigorous, we have one of the oldest electric railways in the world that will take you to the summit. For this and many other reasons, the Isle of Man has one of the best locations in the world for an Amateur Radio Society to be present.

The club itself has been around since 1948, having evolved and survived like most Ham Radio clubs out there, we hope to carry on for the foreseeable future, and in the process help promote this great hobby that we all enjoy.

The IOMARS tried to do as many public events as possible, here we are set-up at a Vintage Farm Show which happens each year. We love our Isle of Man flags, and our Towers so nothing is better than both at the same time.
