Welcome to the home of the Great Smokies Repeater Network (GSRN) on the web. 


What is GSRN?

The Great Smokies Repeater Network (GSRN) is a open repeater link system consisting of three 440 (70cm Band) Amateur Radio Repeaters located in Western North Carolina. The GSRN system is still under construction at this time, as is this website.

The three repeaters are currently on the air.  Two of them are now linked, with the third link to be put into place soon to make it a full working linked repeater system. View the map below to located the three repeaters and get an idea of the coverage of the two that are already linked.

Below shows the general area the repeaters are located in Western North Carolina.

Locate the three pinkish dots, and you've located the three repeaters to be linked.

The 442.450+ (WA4TOG) Repeater on Bearwallow Mtn. near Hendersonville, NC, and the 444.450+ (N4DTR) Repeater on Utah Mtn. near Waynesville, NC, are now linked.

The GSRN link system is an open system for ALL amateur radio operators with the proper class liscense.
