It would have been in use about 1972 - 1983 before the GPO / BT Radiophone service was replaced by newer technology, the 55 channel and 110 channel Radiophones which were autodial up without operator assistance.  These replaced the manual dial-up9 channel Radiophones like the LW15FMB.
