FTdx101 Contesting Reflector  -  Groups.io -  Member Guidelines

  Moderators :    Chris GM3WOJ + two others

Overview:

The FTdx101 Contesting group is a forum for discussions regarding the performance of the FTdx101D and FTdx101MP transceivers under HF contest conditions.  Also technical aspects of these radios. The membership is open to all, irrespective of geography; the moderators will approve any reasonable request for membership.

Good Practices & Guidelines:

Good practices to follow on this Group include:

1.      A posting should be intended for the whole Group membership – if it is for an individual, it should be sent directly, off the Group forum.

2.      Read postings carefully before replying – make the response appropriate.

3.      Make postings as succinct as possible.

4.      All postings should be signed with name and call-sign.

5.      If replying to a specific point, name the intended recipient.

6.      Postings should remain on-topic; the subject-line should be changed if it is no longer relevant to the thread.

By default no postings to this Group are moderated (after the first posting), however a member’s postings may be moderated if these member guidelines are breached. A member may unsubscribe from this group at any time but continued membership implies agreement to these guidelines.

7.      Fellow members on the reflector should be respected at all times, irrespective of their contesting views.

8.      Postings should not be made in a way that provoke emotional responses.

9.      Postings containing derogatory or condescending comments are unwelcome.

10.   Postings likely to cause an argument rather than enhance discussion and debate are unwelcome.

11.    This Group encourage fresh debate; if a thread becomes repetitive or tiresome the moderators will consider closing the thread. Closed threads should not be re-opened.

12.     Posting of information to this Group should only be done in the good faith that it is accurate.

The Group moderators are responsible for defining and implementing these guidelines and for monitoring postings to ensure they remain within the intended spirit.

In the unlikely event that a Group member breaches the Member Guidelines:

13.   First breach of guidelines - warning issued and the member’s messages will be moderated for one month.

Where a dispute which breaches the guidelines develops between two or more members, all members involved will have their postings moderated for one month.

(If moderated messages continue to breach the guidelines, this is the same as stage 2 below).

14.   Second breach of guidelines - second warning: the member will be banned from the reflector for one month.

15.  Persistent breach of guidelines - the member banned permanently from the reflector.

16.   A revoked member has a right to appeal to the moderators; the moderators will consider all reasonable requests for review.
