The individual lists consist of twelve columns

  1. The frequency in MHz
  2. The beacon callsign
  3. The nearest town
  4. The Maidenhead locator
  5. The height of the beacon in metres ASL
  6. The aerial
  7. The beam heading
  8. The output power
  9. The beacon keeper
  10. The beacon status
  11. The date of the last report to the region 1 coordinator
  12. The reporter, usually the national beacon coordinator

The 50 MHz lists include selected beacons outside IARU Region 1, these are identified by the use of italics to show the frequency and callsign. G3USF also maintains lists of 50 MHz and HF beacons, current lists are dated April 2000.

These beacons are in the proposal and planning stages. Their inclusion in the lists is for amateur frequency planning purposes only. It does not imply that licences have been or will be granted by the PTT concerned.

The information on these beacons is uncertain for various reasons or no information or reception reports have been received for at least three years. In the interest of clarity they have been removed from the main lists and will be removed altogether if no information is received for a further two years.
