Press here please CQ CQ CQ From Northern Ireland Some Personal Info My Name is Eleanor, I have been a Radio Ham since 1989, although my interest in Radio goes back to me childhood. My father was a Short Wave Listner, from there came the arrival of C.B, this gave me my first real taste of chatting on the air, this lead strangly to another type of radio, Hospital Radio where with my sidekick Brian GI7HEW, we worked at everything from collecting requests to producing Programmes. I was known at Bishop Auckland Hospital Radio as "Auntie Eleanor". I was a Children's Programme presenter, I moved from Bishop Auckland to Hospital Radio and started a new Station at Darlington General Hospital, this station became known as "Radio Skerne". Back to the Amateur Radio side, I work mainly 80 40 and 20 meters with the occasional visit to 10 meters when conditions permit.When I first became a Radio Ham I was very active on packet radio. The Gear here is a Kenwood TS 140s, I run 100 watts into a G5RV. On VHF I run a Standard C5608D and a WX1 Colinear. I am a member of the R.S.G.B, Royal Signals A.R.S. Also members of W.A.B.
