We are an independent group seeking to promote and develop amateur radio repeaters in the local area. We are working in partnership with the Central Scotland FM Repeater Group (CSFMG) to achieve this end.
The group is led by Allister Watson GM7RYR, who will be the repeater keeper, and myself John Innes GM7OLQ who does the admin and maintains the web site.
We have identified a site and forwarded the proposal to the CSFMG who are now refurbishing a repeater in readiness for installation once the paperwork has been approved.
On Saturday 5 November Allister GM7RYR and John GM7OLQ met with Jack, Peter
and Graeme from the CSFMG to survey the proposed site and everything appears to
be OK. The site is dry and secure, with mains electricity.
It is proposed that we clear out a corner of the building and construct an
enclosure to keep the radio rack in.
Then brackets and a pole will be fitted to the building to mount the aerial
ready for when Graeme completes refurbishing the repeater.
The next stage is to conduct coverage tests which will take place after the RSGB News Broadcast on Sunday 14 November when GM7RYR will operate from the site and will take signal reports from anyone who wants to call in.
I have included one of the coverage maps which have been produced to support our application for a repeater, to see the map full size - click on the small version below

You can also leave any comments or encouragement in our Guest Book which can also be read by anyone visiting the site.
Thanks to everyone who has used the guestbook already, unfortunately I have managed to loose all the old entries while I was tweaking the page - Oops!
