  • Estimate TX isolated by >85 dB from RX

    Frequencies & Access Control
  • Input (repeater receiver) frequency: 51.310 MHz
  • Output (repeater transmitter) frequency: 50.810 MHz
  • Access by CTCSS 82.5 Hz (UK tone "D") at peak deviation 250 Hz
  • Continuous CTCSS tone needed for talk-through.

    Controller Characteristics
  • Access by sending a minimum of 250 mS CTCSS for "brief" hold
  • Reaccess is by a minimum of 1 S break in detected CTCSS
  • Talkthrough time limit 3 minutes.
  • Timeout sequence is indicated by 4 S low level pips mixed with through audio, followed by closedown.
  • Under "timeout" conditions, the repeater will send a "beacon" callsign ever 20 S.
  • Talkthrough audio will remain at full level for 1S after loss of CTCSS tone, and will be reduced by 20 dB for absent or incorrect CTCSS for a period of up to 10 S (before closedown).
  • Ident is sent every 5 minutes regardless, plus at completion of initial access and during closedown cycle.
  • TX is frequency locked to an external reference source with a typical accuracy of 1 Hz.
  • The receiver includes a limited range (+/- 1 kHz) AFC loop.
  • (Up to 15) overdeviation "pips" will be sent if received signal deviation is in excess of specification.
  • Received signal strength is indication by frequency of "beep" - high tone for strong, low tone for weak.
