The coverage maps available here are computer predictions, and while they are just about "the best you can get", they won't be perfect. They don't take account of any "local" conditions which will modify the coverage (for example, while GB3AM uses an omnidirectional antenna, the way it is mounted on the tower will tend to make it behave like a 2 element beam looking south east).
Also, it is important to note that these maps are based upon a 14 dBW ERP transmitter at the repeater site, and using a 1/4 wave whip on a car, you will need 17 dBW (ie 50 Watts) transmitter power to maintain reciprocal performance, since such an antenna has 3 dB loss when compared to a humble dipole!
As time permits, maps will be generated for all of the U.K. 6M repeaters (both operational and proposed) and available from this page, Watch this space!
Note that these maps are an average of 200 kB in size!!
GB3AM - IO91QP (220 kB)
GB3EF - JO02PB (180 kB)
