Fishing -
Hence the picture on the front page. I really
enjoy the peace and quite of course fishing - there are some lovely
locations in and around Banbury. As the coast is at least a 2 hour
drive from here, sea fishing is an occasional hobby - except for the
annual trip to Guernsey for the Bass.
Trains -
The beautiful steam locomotive is everyone's favourite, but the sound of
the Class 37 or a Deltic at full power takes some beating for the true
railway enthusiast. Some
pictures
Philately -
Stamps from all over the world, but
concentrating on the UK, Guernsey, Aland Islands, UN, Gibraltar &
Iceland.
Books -
I enjoy reading all genres and have an extensive
library of new & old books on many subjects.
Music -
I play electronic organ and keyboard, mainly for my own please now, but
regularly entered concerts, festivals and completions in my youth.
Crafts - I make greetings cards for all
occasions, and also enjoy cross-stitch, paper-crafts and all types of
ways of being creative.
Some of my work
Tropical Fish - A 10 gallon
tank currently home to: Neon, X-Ray, Copper and Blue Tetras, Dwarf Rainbowfish
& a Bronze Catfish. (Note to other aquarium
keepers - don't let the heater touch the glass - otherwise you'll
quickly learn just how much of a mess 10 gallons of water will make in
your lounge!)
Fish Keeping - There are 2
ponds in the garden- one with Moby (Dick) the only survivor of the
original fish put in when the pond was first dug, about 4 years ago.
Having eaten most of this years tadpoles, he's definitely the size of a
whale. The larger pond has half a dozen goldfish and shubunkins
now in their 3rd year. The ponds have also attracted frogs, newts
& dragonflies into the garden.
