This is the second board to be built. My only real advice here is;

1) Follow the guidelines in the manual with regard to switch height. Getting the height of the switches wrong will make the front panel look very odd. I spent some time ensuring that the heights were correct, using the provided spacing tool, and it pays off in the end.

2) Be very careful when orientating the LCD backlight as it can be inserted the wrong way around and would be a nightmare to remove and the LCD display is mounted on top of it and has about 40 pins.

3) The manual implies that the four wires from the PCB to the encoder should be stripped bare before being installed. I decided o leave them insulated as I was not happy having bare wires floating around. Those ore the four green wires in the picture above.

4) Be very careful when installing the plastic filter for the bar graph. The double sided tape is VERY thin and you only get one go at it!

5) The potentiometers can be easily damaged if too much force is used putting the knobs on them. The manual describes an excellent method for putting the knobs on if they are a bit tight.

6) As with the control board it is vital that the edge connector on this board is aligned correctly. If its slightly misaligned then the front panel may not plug into the RF board smoothly.
