SOMETIMES
Sometimes life is
like a dream
When things are not
always as they seem
Life can rush by at
the speed of sound
My feet never feel
like they touch the ground
I watch the clouds
up in the sky
Like cotton balls
that fly so high
My imagination
picks one shaped like a bear
It constantly
changes as I stand and stare
Days can drag by in
a boring job
People and problems
just make my head throb
I don’t seem to be
home long before it’s time for bed
I wake up next
morning with the same throbbing head
No clouds in the
sky now; just a perfect blue
Time to reflect and
my thoughts turn to you
I live my life
without you and you may never know
That I think of you
daily and feel my love grow
Will my life change
when I’m old and retired?
Perhaps I’ll speak
out and end up getting fired
Will life ever be
simple without wanting to scream?
Or will life just
pass by me as if in a dream?
