With big blue eyes and beaming smile
Hair like golden corn
I have always loved that girl
From the moment she was born
Drawing, painting, writing too
She seems quite good at all
I make sure she has some paper
And then she has a ball
She likes crumpets and oatcakes
And sausages the best
She always likes going out
But finds shopping a pest
She always has a hug and kiss
Which I return with
pleasure
She snuggles tightly to me
Cos she’s my little treasure
When times are good or times are bad
I live to hear her say
“I love you granddad”
That really makes my day
