The basic ways to Interface SSTV Software are the use of a Sound Blaster card and this is today probably the more common method .

The older and reliable way was to use a Comparator or JvFax interface which fitted into the computer com port and was capable of good results with jvfax7 although the software was a bit tricky to get set up to work at its best ( fond memories here )

Interfaces are available commercially or may be home built as long as You can read a simple circuit diagram and are a bit good at soldering <grin>

For the more modern software using a Sound card I have found the cheapest 16 bit cards work best for me and there is less risk of zapping an expensive card with My Linear as an incentive !!

So have a browse round the local computer rally is my advice , Its a way to escape the household chores anyway isnt it ? <grin>
