About G4YTM

My name is Ian Pettinger I am 50 years old retired ex-miner who lives in a small village called Hoyland located 5 miles south of Barnsley within the County of South Yorkshire. Since 1982 I have been a radio ham, active on several bands.

I own 3 Transceivers operating in the HF, VHF and UHF bands:

· The HF rig is a Icom IC-720a running a 100 watts into a full-size G5RV,and a home brew dipole.
· The VHF rig is a 2m, Yaesu FT-1500 running 5,10, 25 and 50 watts into a dual band Diamond antenna.
· A small hand-held Standard C510A running 1w and 35 watts on 70cm, and 1w and 50 watts on 2m, it also feeds into the Diamond antenna via a duplexer.
