To the left of this text is a photograph showing the link radio antenna. This is a Cushcraft Ringo Ranger, with 6db gain.




To the right the picture is showing the monitor radio antenna. This is a dual band antenna for 2m/70cms.







RADIO'S


Storno CQM6000 Link Radio
A picture showing the Storno CQM6000 (ex PMR) radio, reprogrammed and realigned for use as the gateway radio.This radio is cooled constantly by two four inch cooling fans located to the rear of the P.A.







Link Monitor Radio

This is a picture of the system monitor radio which is a Yaesu FT8100R. It is dual band for 2m/70cms and is also used for local 70cms gateway talk back traffic.







INTERFACE

My home built I-Link Interface board.


The Gateway Link interface board is a home built unit. The PCB was produced by myself here then populated with components bought locally from electronics suppliers.


The computer used for the station is a home built AMD Athlon XP 3GHz machine, with 1Gb of fast DDR memory, 140Gb hard drive space and a Sound Blaster live sound card.
