G4VYX INTERNET GATEWAY RADIO COVERAGE.

G4VYX Gateway Coverage. This map outlines the radial coverage of the G4VYX Internet gateway. Obviously received signal strength is dependant upon geographical location of the receiving station e.g. height above ground, type of antenna etc.

The signal will drop proportionally with respect to mobile and hand portable operation.

Hopefully this diagram will also assist local radio users in understanding the comments on the main page information about possibly not being able to hear other local radio users accessing the gateway. As can be seen station A is to the north of the gateway location and station B is to the south of the gateway location. Both station A and station B will be able to hear the gateway transmissions, but not neccesarily each other if they are out of range. This occurs because the gateway does not relay the transmissions of local radio users(as in a repeater) and only outputs the transmitted audio from the connected internet station.
