Not a pretty sight it has to be said!

I'm far too old, married with two gorgeous children - Alan and Katie - I play guitar in Fast Eddie's Blues Band and am Chief Engineer at the wonderful JAZZ FM radio stations in London and the Northwest of England (I also present a show on JazzFM  between 05:00 and 07:30 on Sundays but don't feel you have to listen - the show's pre-recorded and I don't!).  Our esteemed, and award winning, Programme Controller, John Baish, has a good site with some more info about JazzFM if you're interested.

I became licenced as G4FKK in September 1976 and have been on the amateur bands pretty regularly since then.  I operate mainly on 160m and am carrying out a one man campaign to bring back AM on top-band.  I also work all bands up to 70cms but I tend to get dizzy above 2MHz.  To make up for this I also like to operate on the new 136kHz band using normal speed CW and PSK31.  If you're at all interested in 136kHz then you must visit Dave, G3YXM's site. 

I've just put up a 3 ele beam for 10m at the end of the garden and, never having used an HF beam before, I'm finding it a real eye opener.  It's only up at about 25 feet but it appears to get out like "a ton of bricks".
